White Christmas: The Ghost of Christmas Past
Monday Dec 23, 2013
Monday Dec 23, 2013
We’ve all been hurt by people and often times the holidays maximize those feelings. This series is an effort to set us free from the prison of hurt, and wounds that keep us from living the life that God intends for us to live. John 10:10 Tells us, “The thief comes only to kill, to steal, and to destroy, but I (Jesus) have come that you may have life, and have it abundantly.” God has an abundant life he wants each of us to live. When we hold on to our past we are allowing the enemy to hijack our emotions, and keep us form enjoying the abundance of joy that God desires for us to live in.

Thankful By Choice

How does one live life thankfully? For one thing, we can open our eyes to the bounty of gifts God spreads before us every day. But that doesn't mean we are to ignore reality. A life grounded in gratitude faces misfortune and tragedy with an underlying faith that there is also hope. Gratefulness at this level opens our hearts and assures our souls that God is with us in ways far beyond our imaginings. The surety of God’s goodness and the steadfastness of God’s love foster gratefulness so potent it permeates our very selves, and in so doing transforms who we are.
Today, Campus Pastor, Jay Richmond takes on a journey as we explore how we can be people who are "Thankful By Choice", regardless of the circumstances that surround our lives.

Making A Global Impact

We believe that the local church is the hope of the world. Our vision as a church is to show the love of Jesus to those who are hurting and to those who have never heard. We are passionate about making a difference in the lives of others and consider it a privilege to give generously – that is why we call our outreach and missions efforts, “Feel The Love.”
“Feel The Love” focuses on meeting the needs of the lost and hurting, both at home and abroad. Locally, we will focus this year on developing and extending our Scotia Cares ministry in the Scotia community to minister to, and to care for the sick and needy.
Throughout the month of November we will be taking a look at the vision that God has given us to be a missional church, what ways are we already making a difference, and what are some ways we can expand that moving into the future.
